Further to the west in the northern mountain range is the city of Rio Negrinho, from where the steam driven train named ”Maria Fumaça” starts its tour to Sao Bento do Sul, the largest city in the mountain range and home to the states furniture industry. The train embarks on a weekly schedule, and those who love trains can also visit the train museum in the city. The area around the city is rich in lakes and parks where people can enjoy canoeing and fishing, amongst other things.
