Sao Francisco do Sul is the oldest city in Santa Catarina and French settlers arrived here already at the 16th century, although it was the Portuguese who came to inaugurate the city at the end of the 1700th century. The city is located on an island and attracts tourists for its history, the architecture of the antique buildings in the old center, and all museums. There are also several beaches in the city for those who would like to enjoy the sea.
